1. Pricing information: All prices include V.A.T. at 17.5% if applicable. Delivery to UK mainland locations is included in displayed prices. For non-UK mainland deliveries please ask about our low cost shipping options.
2. Order confirmation and order validation: We will confirm your order either by e-mail or by telephone. Order confirmation is normally sent after we have validated credit/debit card details and received authorisation from the card issuers - Please note that this process can take up to 24 Hours.
3. Payment: We accept payment by most major credit or debit cards including Visa, Mastercard, Switch, Solo, Delta, Electron and Maestro cards. Payment will be debited to your account as your order is placed. Alternatively we can accept cheques made payable to "Direct Car Parts" and sent to the following address:- Direct Car Parts Ltd, Unit 2A, Drum Industrial Estate, Chester-le-Street, DH2 1AG.
4. Delivery of goods: We will endeavour to deliver your order to you within 3-5 working days, providing the goods are in stock (Unless a longer delivery period is clearly stated on the specific product page). If we are not able to meet this deadline, we will contact you within 5 days of receipt of your order to arrange an alternative delivery date. However, if this is not acceptable to you, we will offer you the choice of cancellation or a refund. Please note that deliveries to N.Ireland, Isle of Man, Isles of Scilly, The Highlands and Islands of Scotland can take longer than 3-5 days to deliver - Please ask if express delivery is required.
5. Customer feedback and enquiries: We are always open to suggestions and we encourage feedback to help us to improve our service levels. 6. Returns/Refund policy: Please note that you do have the right to return a product or to cancel an order within the first 7 days following delivery (Excluding special order items - see below) - We do however reserve the right to refund your purchase minus any carriage charges that we have incurred in delivering (As detailed below in sections 6.1 through to 6.3). With wheels, front/rear lights and indicators we can only accept returns if a problem is reported within 24hours of delivery.
Special order items are ordered specially from manufacturers and for this reason are non-returnable. We will not be able to accept special order goods back for credit or exchange.
6.1 Correct parts supplied: If we have correctly supplied the product as ordered then we will reimburse the product costs minus a handling charge of up to 15% of the order value. Please note that you will also be responsible for the return carriage charges.
6.2 Damaged/incorrect or faulty goods: If the goods have been damaged in transit by the courier, have been incorrectly supplied or are faulty - In this case we reserve the right to replace the product. If you require a refund, we will reimburse the product costs minus a handling charge of up to 15% of the order value. You will have to pay to return the goods via the Post Office, however, we will refund these costs to your card or send you a cheque for the return costs. (Provided that you include the Post Office receipt with the returned goods.)
IMPORTANT: We can only refund the cost of 1st Class Royal Mail for smaller items under 2kg or Standard Parcels Service for larger items over 2kg. These are both standard services at the Post Office and should arrive back to us within a few days. If you choose to send goods back to us using Priority, Guaranteed or any other service we can only refund the approximate postage costs as detailed above. Please note: You must inform us of damaged deliveries within a reasonable period of time. For wheels, front/rear lights and indicators you need to inform us of any damage within 24hrs. All other damaged deliveries must be notified within 3 days of delivery. We are unable to accept responsibility for damage to goods beyond these periods.
6.3 Product exchanges: If you wish to return a product for exchange then we reserve the right to deduct our initial shipping fee. (i.e. the shipping fee that we have incurred in shipping the first product to you.)
(The handling charge is to offset the costs incurred by ourselves in processing and shipping your order as requested).
If you wish to return any item then please follow these basic steps: (a) Contact us to request a *Returns Number. (b) Send the goods to the following address: Returns, Direct Car Parts Ltd, Unit 2A, Drum Industrial Estate, Chester-le-Street, DH2 1AG. Please note that we can only refund if goods are returned in the original packaging in "as new" condition. (c) Attach a copy of the delivery note or invoice as proof of purchase and mark the package clearly with the *Returns Number.
(*) Returns Number - This number helps us to deal quickly and efficiently with your refund. Please note that if this number is not clearly marked on the returned item then this may cause delays.
7. Product information and product images: Although we endeavour to provide you with the latest product information and to ensure that product images are identical to the items supplied, we cannot always guarantee that this will be the case. Product colours and styles can differ slightly from the published images.
8. Confidentiality of personal details: Personal details are held confidentially. Please note that we never divulge personal details to any third party and any information supplied is used solely for the purpose of processing your order or sending you regular email bulletins (If requested). If you decide that you would like to leave our mailing list, please ask and we will remove all of your details. Our website is SSL secure and our certificate is provided by Thawte who are widely recognised as the number one provider of SSL certificates to secure websites. If you wish to verify this then please contact Thawte directly via www.thawte.com. You can also verify the security of our website by checking for the padlock sign in your browser window (Please note that this is only visible when we capture credit card details)
9. Suitability of products: Please note: It is your responsibility to ensure that the item that you have ordered is suitable for your car based on the information that we have published on our website. If you are in any doubt as to the suitability of any product for your vehicle then please contact us for further advice before ordering. All application information is supplied by the product manufacturers and all dates used in product descriptions are dates of vehicle manufacture, they are not vehicle registration dates. If you are in doubt please ask. Please note that products on this web site are generally suitable for UK specification vehicles and we are not able to ensure suitability of these products for non-UK specification vehicles (including imported models).
10. IMPORTANT: All products are supplied on a DIY fit basis, fitting instructions are provided in most cases. All items carry a minimum one year manufacturers warranty from the date of purchase and we are happy to replace or repair faulty products if you experience any problems during the warranty period. If you choose to have any product professionally installed we will not be held responsible for any costs involved in installing or removing the product from your vehicle during or after the warranty period. If you are not happy with this policy or any of the above policies please do not purchase.
